Havelock Island is the hub of all the tourist activity. It is a major Island in Andaman and Nicobar. It is a picturesque natural paradise with snow- white beaches, lush green forest, coral reefs, with beach huts and a best diving spot. Havelock Island has the most eye-catching white sand beaches, turquoise water and coral reefs. It is one of the most famous dwelling for beaches in Andaman. At Havelock Island you can visit 

Radhanagar Beach, it has been crowned Asia’s best beach by the ‘Time Magazine’. The beach has long coastline and the waves are perfect for swimming and water activities. It is one of the best beaches in Andaman Islands. So make sure you Visit this particular beach. It is quite famous among honeymooners in Andaman islands.

Vijaynagar Beach : Located in east coast of the island, Vijaynagar Beach is another famous beach to visit in Havelock. Mahua trees are dotted at the shores of the beach. It has a long stretch of sand perfect for walking. Many hotels are located nearby this beach like Dolphin Resort run by Andaman Tourism Department.

Elephant Beach : It is one of the best spots for snorkelling in Havelock. Known for its rich and vibrant coral reefs and marine life, most of the snorkeling operators provide services at this beach. Tourist can reach Elephant beach via small cruise from Havelock Jetty which takes about 40 minutes to reach.

Kalapathar Beach : It is another isolated beach in the island located about 12 km from Havelock Jetty. There no proper facilities around the beach but the beauty of the beach is intact and is perfect for a walk or relaxation.

What to do in Havelock Island

Scuba Diving : Scuba Diving is the main activity at Havelock Island. There are number of companies like Andaman BubblesBarefoot ScubaDiveIndia and Doongi Dives which offers Scuba Diving packages and training at Havelock Island. Havelock has a variety of activities to offer, suitable for all tastes. It is the premier spot for scuba diving but you can also enjoy lot of other things.

Snorkeling in Havelock : Elephant Beach is the most famous spot for snorkeling in this island. If by chance the beach is closed for the tourist than Light House area becomes the destination for snorkeling here. The corals of Havelock are quite vibrant and you can see them at very small depths. Other activities that can be done here are bird watching, camping, kayaking and other adventure sports. Radhanagar, Vijaynagar and Elephant Beach are quite famous for swimming activities in Andaman.

Havelock Island is accessible via ferry from Port Blair and is renowned for its crystal clear beaches, adventure activities and remote island character.
