The Great Nicobar Island is the only island in Andaman and Nicobar, which has perennial rivers- the Galathea, Alexandria and Doyma. The northern half of the Great Nicobar Island has hills and mountain ranges while the rest of the island is fairly flat. The island also houses the biosphere reserve area.

Nicobar scrubfowl, saltwater crocodiles, giant leatherback sea turtle, giant robber crab and reticulated python are the major attraction of wildlife in Nicobar Island. There are also some other important species found in the Nicobar Island are water monitor lizard, Nicobar pigeon, fruit bat, Nicobar serpent eagle etc.

Indira Point it is explored by numerous tourists every year. The Indira Point is famous for its sky scarpering lighthouse.
