Hut Bay Island

Hut Bay Island has a varied variety of tropical forest, and is a home for a number of extraordinary classes of marine life. Unlike Port Blair this island has no natural harbour and therefore an artificial break water is constructed to provide safe harbour for ships. Some of the rarest flora and fauna have thrived in peace on this island. Many tribal habitats can be found at the island.

Hut Bay is in Little Andaman and a pleasant small town. It is the entrance and exit point of Little Andaman or the islands headquarter.Hut Bay has the longest shoreline of Andaman and Nicobar group of islands.

How To Reach

Hut Bay is 120km via ocean from Port Blair. Daily government ferries connected through Hut bay from Phoenix Bay jetty. The journey takes about 8-9 hours depending on the weather condition. Make sure you book tickets in advance, in peak season.Helicopter services are also available to Hut Bay from Port Blair.This is pricier and the seats are limited.

Sightseeing And Activity

Waterfalls are the main attraction in Hut Bay beach, there are two waterfalls near to Hut Bay- white surf waterfalls and the other one is whisper wave waterfalls. You may also trek to the top of the waterfall, which is kind of a pool up on the hill.You can visit to Netaji Nagar beach, which is 11km from Hut Bay.
