Kalapathar Beach

Kalapathar Beach is a lesser known beach in Havelock and mostly less crowdy. The fisherman mostly access the beach. This was the beach where live shells found regularly. The beach is small, yet the silvery sand and turquoise water make the place exquisite and idealistic for beach lovers.

Kalapathar Beach is famous beach n Havelock Island known for big black stones. This beach is located in one corner of the Havelock Island, well connected by road. You can hire a 2 wheeler, an auto rickshaw or a cab to reach to this location.Snacks and Coconut water stalls are present on the beach.

Kalapathar is a small but lovely beach. It is a rocky beach, which makes little bit difficult for swimming. Kalapathar beach is about 3Km further away from the Kalapathar village. One can visit Kalapathar village it is a very beautiful village in a calm, serene surrounding. This village is also a nice place to observe the local village life, local agriculture, vegetables and fruit plantation etc.

There is also a sweet water stream known as ‘Meetha pani’, which joins the sea here. You can spot many birds at the Meetha pani bridge.Kalapathar sees very few tourists as compared to Radhanagar beach. So if you are looking for solitude, this is the place in Havelock.
